For the complete beginner, this is an introduction to basic massage techniques and contraindications.

This fun & relaxed weekend with a professional atmosphere covers a 'seated' massage routine for the shoulders, neck & head. An easy to learn massage sequence for the back of legs, back, shoulders and face and also an introduction to Aromatherapy. This weekend is a very good way to find out if massage is really for you before enrolling onto a full study programme.

90% of students enrol on their own but if you wish to attend with a friend, you will both receive a 10% discount (both places must be booked in 1 transaction for discount to be applied).

If after attending this weekend you wish to complete the Beginners course you will need to enrol on the Follow Up Weekends.

Attendance: 10am to 4.30pm Saturday & Sunday

Once you have completed the Introductory weekend and have decided you would like to complete the Beginners course, this is the next stage. These two weekends include more sequences for different body areas working towards being able to give a full body massage. On the final day there is an informal assessment where the student gives and receives a full body massage.

Successful completion and feedback from the tutor will enable the student to determine whether to proceed to Diploma level.

A Beginners Certificate is issued on submission of 20 completed homework sheets, which are a record of your home massage practice sessions.

Attendance: 10am to 4.30pm Saturday & Sunday

A £135 deposit will required when booking, balance due before commencement of course

This is a 12 week course, one evening a week and is available for those that prefer a more gradual learning process. This course takes you step by step through a full body massage routine, contraindications and also an introduction to using and choosing aromatherapy oils. On the final day there is an informal assessment where the student gives and receives a full body massage.

Successful completion and feedback from the tutor will enable the student to determine whether to proceed to Diploma level.

A Beginners Certificate is issued on submission of 20 completed homework sheets, which are a record of your home massage practice sessions.

You do not have to complete an Introductory weekend before enrolling on this course.

This 8 week module covers the study of the body, particularly the Skeletal and Muscular Systems.

Bones, Joints, Muscles, Origin & Insertions of the shoulder girdle, upper & lower limbs, spine, trunk & head

Attendance: 6.30pm to 9.30pm One evening a week

A £55 deposit will be required when booking, the balance is due before commencement of course.

A holistic therapy, originating in the sub-continent where its practice is an integral part of family life. Working on the back, shoulders, neck, scalp, face and higher energy centres (chakras), this type of massage is renowned for relieving symptoms of stress, anxiety and mental tension, improving blood circulation to the areas, which in turn promotes hair growth and relief of eye strain, headaches, sinusitis, congestion and insomnia. The course includes some theory, followed by hands on practical work, culminating in a full routine to add to your massage knowledge.

Attendance: 10am to 4.30pm

This is a one day workshop developed by Isabelle Hughes to look at the special circumstances involved in Massage and Pregnancy. The day is spent discussing contra-indications, positions for labour, the use of massage during labour and other relevant topics. It is largely aimed at practitioners but can be of interest to anyone who would like to know more about the massage in pregnancy.
