Course Outline:
- Anatomy Basics & Terms of Movement
- Skeletal System
- Muscle Tissue
- Muscle Contraction & Energy Sources
- Bones, Joints, Muscles, Origin & Insertions of:-
* the shoulder girdle
* upper & lower limbs
* spine, trunk & head
The exam on the final evening is a mix of multiple choice, questions & answers and labelling diagrams. The pass mark is 60%. A certificate will be issued on successful completion of both the Anatomy & Physiology exams.
If you are unsuccessful on your first attempt, it is possible to re-sit the exam at a cost of £30.
If you have studied A&P before or are a qualified nurse or doctor it is possible to just sit the exam at a cost of £30.
Depending on what dates you are available for you can complete Physiology before Anatomy or vice versa.
You will be provided with a study guide for this course but you will also need to purchase:-
The Introduction to Human Anatomy & Physiology by Eldra Pearl Solomon.
Attendance: 6.30pm to 9.30pm One evening a week
A £75 deposit will be required when booking, the balance is due 2 weeks before commencement of course.
